Challenges surrounding instructional effectiveness, classroom management, and teacher retention rarely stem from a single cause—they are deeply tied to educator wellbeing, mental health, and systemic support. Because rural school districts cannot afford specialized support teams for every building, school leaders and instructional coaches need expanding skill sets. Our Health & Wellness Coaching initiative enhances foundational educator training with evidence-based wellness strategies, giving local personnel practical tools to foster resilience across their schools.
Coaching Model & Partner Integration
We host a selective 1-year cohort for school leaders and instructional coaches across participating districts to earn national credentialing utilizing a National Board for Health & Wellness Coaching (NBHWC) approved curriculum. Alongside direct delivery, this pilot is paired with an external research evaluation to measure outcomes—determining the precise value of the complete curriculum while identifying core components that can be parsed out and adapted for future program redesigns. This structured evaluation ensures that certified, high-standard wellness capacity is built sustainably across regional districts.
