Rather than relying on rigid, off-the-shelf training packages, the Azark Foundation designs customized professional development built directly through local collaboration. We address both national best practices and unique regional challenges by leveraging an extensive network of curriculum designers, Regional Educational Laboratories (RELs), platform developers, and regional higher education advisors. By bringing together top-tier instructional consultants and local school leaders, we equip educators with high-impact strategies tailored to the distinct needs of Appalachian classrooms.

PD offerings are available across multiple formats—ranging from schoolwide workshops and breakout forums to sustained cohort coaching, asynchronous online modules, and role-differentiated training. Operating as a responsive regional convener, Azark rapidly aligns local partners, Foundation specialists, and subject-matter advisors to deliver timely, high-value professional learning.
